Nice spin on the banh mi.

I do miss the original banh mi (pate and head cheese) I’m used to.. at the prices I’m used to.

I remember growing up in Houston when they were a buck each! And that’s not all.. buy 4 get one free!

I tend to shy away from trying Vietnamese food around here, because I had it great when I was surrounded by cheap cheap authentic stuff, and that’s hard to beat.

That looks great! I only had banh mi for the first time recently too and kind of wonder why I waited so long, lol. Def have to hit up Chinatown for the real deal $3 sandwiches!
Funny too because two nights ago I made pork chop sandwiches and was totally thinking about banh mi (except I didn’t want to cut up my pork)

yummmmm. Actually there is one place that I trek over to for banh mi, on Lex & 26th Street – baoguette. All the way from my office at Grand Central! But I do hear that Brooklyn is the place to go.
