Enter to win a cookbook of your choice!

8 Jul

Happy Friday to you! Hope everyone has been doing well, despite the crazy heat wave we’ve been having here in NYC! I had a plan to avoid turning my stove on but that plan doesn’t seem to be working.

In any case, I’m excited to announce a new giveaway!

*If I were to enter this contest, I’d choose this book! But lucky for you, you get to choose! :D

Snubbr, a website that provides product recommendations from experts, has graciously offered to provide a cookbook to you, dear reader! The best part is, you can choose which cookbook you’d like to win (as long as it’s under $35)! Just look through Amazon and pick something.

You have until Thursday, July 15th (midnight) to enter. The website folks will pick their favorite comment and name the winner! (This giveaway is only open to residents in U.S and Canada.)

All you have to do is answer this question in the comments section of this post:

What cookbook would you like to win? Why?

Good luck! :)

The cookbook I would like to win is “The Petit Appetit Cookbook: Easy, Organic Recipes to Nurture Your Baby and Toddler.” Because I am a preschool teacher and would love a book of recipes to make with my students, as well as with my sister who is expecting her first child this September!

  • Jenn

I would LOVE to win a copy of Spike Mendelsohn’s The Good Stuff Cookbook: Burgers, fries, shakes, wedges, and more! I frequent his burger joint on Capitol Hill on a regular basis and his food is fantastic. It would be great to make some of it at home when entertaining or just for fun!

  • Vicky

I would like to win Artisan bread in 5 minutes because I would like me and my family to eat healthier. We wanna control what ingredients actually go into our food. Ever since I read “The China Study”, we’ve been trying to be more health conscious in general.

    Fun!

I’d love a copy of “Allergy Free For Mommy and Me” – a cookbook by Sharissa Greer. It’d be an excellent gift for the parents of my wheat-, egg-, milk-, soy-, nut-, sesame seed-, seafood allergic God-daughter. They have 5 kids, so family-friendly allergen-free recipies would help them out a lot!

I would like: Eat What You Love: More than 300 Incredible Recipes Low in Sugar, Fat, and Calories by Marlene Koch (Hardcover – Apr. 6, 2010)

Looks like a great cookbook to help keep your body healthy! :)

Oh my gravy. I about fell off my chair. What a generous giveaway. Asking me to choose is like bringing a 5 year old to a candy shop and saying which piece would you like. Oh the CHOICES!

I checked out Amazon.com and emerged victorious because I found a cookbook, I simply can’t live without any longer. I spied with my little eye, a cookbook that I have been pining for since its release….Ad Hoc by Thomas Keller would 100% be my choice.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to enter my name.

I’m a former culinary school student that had to leave under very unfortunate personal circumstances but would like very much to one day return.

I miss it so much but my love of food of course could not be stopped.

Currently I do my best to work here at home while I’m unemployed and continue learning all I can not only for my own personal growth or eventual return to school but because I find food so completely enjoyable.

I’d love to win “Le Cordon Bleu’s Complete Cooking Techniques: the indispensable reference demonstrates over 700 illustrated techniques with 2,000 photos and 200 recipes” it would be an invaluable tool in my tiny, messy kitchen here at home and a seriously needed pick-me-up. Besides I can use all the help I can get trying to cook for my husband, an extremely picky eater.

I would love a copy of Jamie Oliver’s latest cookbook “Jamie at Home” — I’ve always loved his cooking show, but ever since his ‘food revolution’, my interest in cooking with more fresh ingredients has piqued. His recipes are simple enough for a non-chef like me, but delicious enough to impress my friends and family!

  • Cee

I would choose ‘The Tassajara Recipe Book’ — I was fortunate to check it out of the library to read, but didn’t have time to make any of the recipes!

Hi and thanks for the wonderful giveaway!
I’d like to win The Bread Baker’s Apprentice: Mastering the Art of Extraordinary Bread. I started making bread at home, but the results were very disappointing. With this book I’m sure that my bread would be much better! Thanks for the chance!

I apologize and please unsubscribe from the competition: I live in Italy. I hadn’t read that the giveaway was restricted to residents in U.S. and Canada!

  • Esther

@Barbara – aw! I’m sorry to hear that! But thanks for trying. =D
