<p><span style="font-size: medium; font-family: Century Gothic;">Are you wondering why I&#8217;m telling you to cook flower petals? If you look carefully, you will see purple sweet potato slices!</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium; font-family: Century Gothic;">I like trying to cook with new produce every chance that I get. I saw these at the grocery store and couldn&#8217;t resist!  Then I realized that Blue Terra Chips</span><span style="font-family: arial,sans-serif;">®</span><span style="font-size: medium; font-family: Century Gothic;"> are probably from purple sweet potatoes so I decided to try making it myself. (Correction &#8211; Blue chips are made from blue potatoes, not purple sweet potatoes!)</span></p>
<p><span id="more-1999"></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium; font-family: Century Gothic;">It was so simple! All I did was use a vegetable peeler to peel the skin, then instead of using a knife, I continue using the peeler to cut thin slices.</span></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1996" title="2potatoes" src="http://www.ambitiousdeliciousness.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/2potatoes-300x225.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium; font-family: Century Gothic;">After that, I spread out the slices on a baking sheet, making sure none of them overlap and then sprinkled with some sea salt. It baked in 375 oven for 6-7 minutes. Keep in mind that the thinner slices got cooked faster so you might have to take those out first. I made the chips with 3 small sized purple sweet potatoes, yielding about 3.5 cups total.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium; font-family: Century Gothic;">If you want the extra crunch, go ahead and fry them up in oil <img src='http://www.ambitiousdeliciousness.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /> These were delicious baked though!!</span></p>
